September 2025

Thank you for your ongoing support! Despite the deteriorating conditions in Haiti, we continue to operate. Here is an update of our activities:

Good news:

  • We installed a solar system, so we now have reliable electricity at the clinic!

  • Collaboration Santé Internationale, a Canadian organization, donated anesthesia, x-ray, dental, and other medical equipment worth hundreds of thousands of dollars. This will enable us to upgrade our clinic into a hospital with surgical and maternity services.

  • Many thanks to Jeff Schrager, who gave us an oxygen concentrator. This will be a life saver!

The Dalton Foundation donated an ultrasound machine last year. It finally arrived at the clinic, after a long delay caused by the ban on flights to Port-au-Prince. Doctor Hans is putting it to good use.

A large quantity of medical supplies was donated by Evernorth Health Services. The boxes arrived at the clinic recently.

One of our patients received surgery to remove a thyroid cyst.

The pharmacy was remodeled and is stocked with medication from Blessings International.

  • The Belleview Mountain Christian Center is thriving amidst adversity. The church meets in the Emmaus School, which is still under construction. Forty young adults have been baptized so far this year.

  • Emmaus School continues to provide education and daily meals for about 300 students.

  • We thank God for the safety of the Emmaus Clinic staff, and the teachers and students at the Emmaus School. The clinic is located across the street from the police station, with whom we maintain a positive relationship.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR PRAYERS AND DONATIONS! WITHOUT YOUR SUPPORT, NONE OF THIS WOULD BE POSSIBLE!

Bad news:

  • Port-au-Prince and the surrounding areas continue to experience food shortages, kidnappings, mass displacement, and lack of government. Gangs have attacked hospitals, medical staff and missionaries. Many health facilities have been forced to close due to the violence.

  • Joel, a local farmer, and his wife, who were well known to all of us at the Clinic, died after their home was set on fire by gangs.

Current needs:

  • $32,500 is needed to pack and ship the equipment provided by Collaboration Santé Internationale from Canada to Haiti.

  • The solar electrical system cost $12,000, which must be paid in installments over the next six months.

  • As we are seeing more and more patients, we need additional monthly donors for ongoing expenses - staff salaries, building rent, medications, etc.

Thank you for helping us to serve those in need,
